What is do special about living in the age of the mobile phone?
The animals we know as humans have been around for about 80000 years.
Literacy is over 5000 years old.Commercial mass printing of books started about 500 years ago and the age of cinema started 100 years ago.
And now today there are billions of people who have access to a smartphone.
The smartphone allows us to film edit and publish films ourselves.
Cityscapes is a project to make this happen for citizen video journalists and community media in Ireland.
By training ordinary people how to make better use of something they already do, we will be helping catalyse a qualitative step forward.
